Take Part Of The Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee and Apply Today

The Riverside Unified School District is looking to fill upcoming vacancies for the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC).

Vacancies to fill include: community at-large active member in a senior citizens’ organization

To qualify, a person must be at least 18 years of age and not an RUSD employee, official, vendor, contractor, or consultant.

If you are interested in serving a two-year term on the Measure O bond committee, and would like to be part of the dynamic transformation of RUSD schools and communities, we invite you to apply today.

Member responsibilities as set in the bylaws include:

  • Informing the public of the District’s expenditure of bond proceeds
  • Reviewing project expenditure reports to ensure that bond proceeds were expended only for the purposes set forth in Measure O
  • Presenting an annual report to the RUSD Board of Education

In 2016, the community of Riverside graciously voted to pass the Measure O bond in the amount of $392 million to improve and build new RUSD capital facilities. As a part of the Measure, RUSD established an independent Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) to satisfy the accountability requirements of Prop 39.
